100% would recommend therapy. Prior to therapy our son really struggled
to communicate his feelings, leading to intense episodes of frustration
and a daily theme of anxiety in his daily life. Since he attended
therapy, he has been much better able to stand up for himself and
communicate when he isn't happy with something. When he does become
overwhelmed, we are also much better in communicating with him and help
him manage it. There have also been significant improvements in his
relationship with his family. We couldn't have asked for any more
flexibility and understanding in managing a complex home situation.
Yasmin was also very receptive to hearing our thoughts and concerns and
made sure we were kept informed as best permitted.'

Parents, Lancashire

Therapy had been beneficial as individuals and collectively. S has
developed a sense of self and confidence in meeting children his own age
and L will try and communicate with others. They have grown in their
personalities.

Grandparent, Lancashire

I do believe this therapy has been beneficial for myself. It has
transformed me. I can only thank you for your warmth, generosity and
skills in helping me regain confidence, belief and an overall healthier
outlook of life. It's by far the best thing I have done for myself and
truly feel deep gratitude for all your work. I definitely would
recommend this therapy to others, as the methods you incorporated were
extremely effective. I found it to have a positive psychological impact
as it enabled me to really unravel deeper thoughts to get to the surface
of my trauma. As a result, I am able to regulate and manage my emotions
and situations a lot better.

Adult and Online Therapy

I feel the therapy sessions has made my daughter progress as a person,
in her learning and helped her to speak about what happened. Thank you.

We cannot thank Yasmin enough for the difference she has made to a
pupil in our school in helping him overcome trauma that he experienced
early in his life. The whole process was really positive. We were
particularly impressed with the communication between school, Yasmin and
the pupil's Dad and the obvious nurturing and skilled approach that she
took with the pupil himself. She really has changed his life and enabled
us at school to now meet his needs going forward. Thank you so much
Yasmin!

C Hewerdine (Lancashire Primary School)

The therapy has been beneficial. His anger hasn’t appeared for a long
time and this is a massive improvement. The definite improvement I have
seen for my grandson reflects the great help it has been for him. Thank
you Yasmin for your help.

Grandparent- CL

I know how difficult it was for my son with his anger before and coping with a loss. But now he learnt ways of controlling his anger and expressing his emotions. This has helped my son to express himself better instead of keeping his feelings in.

A parent

This has made a positive impact on me as a parent and has made my son
happier. I would definitely recommend the therapy to others as a result
of my son’s positive experience and changes in his behaviour. I never
would have thought we would reach this stage, he is a lot happier and
for that I am happy.

Jazaakillaahu khayran (Thank you) for the most amazing workshop that
I’ve ever attended. Implementing change within 24 hours of attending a
workshop has proven effective with my parenting and even with me as an
individual, as a wife, a friend, a daughter, sister and even as a
daughter in law. When we shift perspectives and make those changes from
within. The outcome within just a few days is phenomenal and it’s a huge
thanks to your workshop that I was able to implement what I’ve learnt
from your vast knowledge.
I’m glad to say that my daughter and I are not angry at each other. We
are setting boundaries and limits. I have to admit...even I was the
problem not only my daughter.

A Parent at the Workshop

The workshop was well presented with relevant information relating to
early child care.
I found it to be very useful in helping me learn how to connect better
with my toddler. As parents I find we sometimes don’t really
“understand” our children and expect too much from them (and from
ourselves).

The workshop helped explain how to deal with children, not only
psychologically but more importantly emotionally. That there is an
underlying reason behind their behavior, a need being unmet, instead of
thinking that my child is “naughty”. Also, it’s not only about the
child. Our unmet needs, unresolved issues have an effect on our children
too, and boundaries are important for both parents and children. The
workshop helped explain that as parents we can set a peaceful and
positive tone in our homes, with respectful boundaries that help us and
our children. Applying the tips has helped my relationship with my son,
allowing a more positive connection between us, but also with boundaries
in place.

As a parent I’m constantly learning, this was a great way to learn. It
was explained well and in an interactive and non-judgmental way, which I
think is very important.

A Parent

I would recommend Play Therapy to other parents. I feel A’s behaviour has changed in a better way, especially his reaction to different situations.

'Yasmin has been working in our school for nearly 3 years. She has
worked with a range of students encountering a variety of issues and
SEND. She has built excellent relationships with all the students and
their families. All the students who have worked with her have said
what a positive impact her work has had on them. Staff feedback has
also been hugely positive. A massive improvement has been seen in all
the students that have worked with Yasmin. We would highly recommend
her.'

Parent - S.J. Blackburn

'Following the loss of his Granddad, my son, J (who is on the Autistic Spectrum), really struggled to cope. He was lagging behind in his school work, a little bit bad tempered at home and was often woken up at night by terrible and frightening dreams, he was also suffering socially as his behaviour exacerbated difficulties already present in many ASD children. J’s school suggested that he attend therapy sessions to help manage his grief. I was incredibly grateful for the help, although I didn’t really know just how much play therapy would be able to do for him at that time.
After a few weeks, it was clear that he was working through his emotions and undergoing the therapeutic process. Sadly, the school decided to cut funding for the therapy halfway through, but I’d seen such an improvement in the well being of my son that I spoke to Yasmin and arranged private sessions so that he was able to continue his therapy to the end. Yasmin is friendly and professional and my son really responded to her warmth and knowledge, she has helped him to manage his anger and his grief in a very kind and beautiful way that has established a strong and healthy foundation that I am certain will benefit J for the rest of his life.
Thanks to Yasmin, the process of developing better mental health and social behaviour through play and creative arts has been very gentle and organic for J. He has become more confident and insightful and he rarely has terrible dreams now, but when he does he is able to become calm and reassured again very quickly. Yasmin also helped me to show J how to embrace more constructive ways of thinking through activities. This and her wonderful sessions (and a heart-warming book she shared), has been a defining element in not only the development of my son’s ability to process grief and improve his relationships with friends, but it has also enriched understanding between myself and my son, and I really can’t be more grateful for that and I couldn’t recommend anybody more highly.
If you are looking for a way to help your child negotiate through difficult emotions or any tough experiences, I highly recommend play therapy and also (if not most particularly!) Yasmin herself. Her lovely nature and expertise will really help your child come to terms with any problems and help build those all important foundations required for a happy, healthy life.'

Parent - F, Penwortham.

'Yasmin is a wonderful play therapist. She is reliable, honest and very professional. She has the best interest of the children at heart at all times. Yasmin truly believes in the power of play therapy and works very hard to ensure the children receive quality therapy sessions. I would recommend Yasmin as a play therapist whole heartily.'

Shanana Knight, TPC-Therapy Ltd.

'I would definitely say this therapy has been beneficial as L does not hold on to anger and frustration anymore. He has learnt to self-regulate effectively and manage his behaviour.'

Parent - Mrs S, Blackburn, Lancashire

Play and Creative Arts therapy is a valuable therapeutic medium which has helped children to overcome various issues and difficulties. To name a few of these are bereavement, trauma, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Many of these issues affected the children in terms of their learning, behaviour and their home life. Yasmin is a dedicated Play Therapist whom with her calm and logical therapeutic methods has made a significant difference to the children. She is confident and very approachable especially when leasing with parents. I have no hesitation in recommending Blossoms Play Therapy.

Mrs Khan, St Oswalds Primary School in Knuzden, Blackburn, Lancashire.

I feel Play Therapy has been helpful for my son. Before he was depressed but now he is happy, he is happier in himself.
I would recommend this therapy to others. It can bring a lot of confidence in the child. I feel what we wanted has been achieved from the therapy.

Parent - Mrs. Blackburn.

Play Therapy has been beneficial especially for my grandson, especially when the child has been through an ordeal. It has definitely helped him to feel better. Play Therapy helps to see what happens in a child's mind as children do not always speak about it.
